Chatfuel Alternative for Telegram Bots in 2026

Chatfuel started out as a Telegram bot builder in 2015. As of September 2026 it builds for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and Telegram is not on the list. Here is what that means if your audience is on Telegram, and how TeleMinute compares.

What Chatfuel is good at

Chatfuel is one of the most established no-code chatbot platforms around. It has been building bots since 2015, it is an official Meta Partner and WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, and its homepage claims more than 150,000 businesses. The product is built around Meta channels: WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, plus TikTok and a chat widget for your website.

The feature list is strong for that job. There is a free plan, Chatfuel Light, with no credit card required. It covers Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp automations, a shared inbox, a visual flow builder, contact management and ready-made templates. The paid AI PRO tier adds Fuely AI, an assistant you feed a knowledge base and instructions so it can answer customers and qualify leads. There are native iOS and Android apps for the inbox, leads and bookings, a built-in booking calendar with WhatsApp confirmations and reminders, and CRM integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zendesk and Kommo.

If your customers write to you on WhatsApp or Instagram, that is a serious package. The problem is narrower and simpler: Telegram is not part of it.

Why people look for a Chatfuel alternative

Three reasons come up when Telegram businesses look elsewhere:

  • No native Telegram channel. Chatfuel began on Telegram, but as of September 2026 its website, pricing page and entire help center document only WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and the website widget. Telegram appears nowhere. The only route is a third-party connector such as Zapier, Make or Albato, which means another subscription, another place where things can break, and nothing in Chatfuel's own editor for Telegram-specific building blocks such as slash commands or inline keyboards.
  • Meta-centric costs and limits. Broadcasts are documented for WhatsApp only, and outside the 24-hour window Meta charges per message on top of your plan (the help center cites figures around $0.01 per message, varying by country). The pricing page also lists broadcasts under AI PRO only, although the plan-limits page calls them unlimited, so check which plan you are on before relying on them. The free Light plan says usage limits apply, but the actual caps are not published. On AI PRO, the AI has a fair-use allowance of unpublished size, and when it is exceeded the bot pauses until you renew or the next billing period starts, unless you bring your own OpenAI key through support.
  • Price and pricing clarity. As of September 2026 the pricing page lists AI PRO at $69 per month, or a $49 per month equivalent when paid for the year. The help center, however, still shows an older structure with contact-based Fuely Super and Fuely Max tiers starting at $39 and $59 per month and a 7-day trial. Both pages are live and contradict each other, so check their pricing page for the current figure. Whatever the number, paying a Meta-channel price for a tool that does not natively reach Telegram is hard to justify.

None of this makes Chatfuel a bad tool. It makes it a tool for a different set of channels.

What to look for in a Chatfuel alternative for Telegram

If Telegram is where your audience is, the shortlist changes. Look for:

  • Native Telegram support through your own BotFather token, with no connector in between
  • Commands, keyword replies, inline buttons and menus, the building blocks Telegram users expect
  • Lead forms with response tracking, not just a chat transcript
  • Scheduled broadcasts with delivery reports and no per-message fees
  • No ads and no tool branding inside your bot
  • A way to see a live bot before you create a token or enter a card
  • Mobile apps, so you can manage the bot from your phone

TeleMinute as a Chatfuel alternative

TeleMinute is a no-code Telegram bot builder for businesses and creators. It does one channel, Telegram, and it does the everyday things a Telegram bot needs: commands, keyword replies, inline buttons and menus, lead forms with response tracking, scheduled broadcasts with delivery reports, statistics, up to four images per command and ready-made templates. It runs as a web app and as iOS and Android apps, and the interface comes in ten languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic and Persian.

Two things stand out against Chatfuel for a Telegram project. First, you can start without a BotFather token: TeleMinute lends you a demo bot from its pool for 15 minutes, so you see a live bot in about a minute, and when you paste your own token later you keep everything you built. Second, pricing is flat and small: $3.99 per week, $9.99 per month or $49.99 once for lifetime access, with regional discounts of up to 70% applied automatically in eligible countries, payable by card or Telegram Stars. No ads and no TeleMinute branding are ever shown inside your bot.

The trade-offs are real, and it is fair to name them. Chatfuel has a visual flow builder for designing conversations step by step; TeleMinute's editor is built around commands and menus, not branching flows. Chatfuel has built-in AI on its paid tier; TeleMinute has no AI chat. Chatfuel covers WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and a website widget; TeleMinute is Telegram only. Chatfuel has CRM integrations and a booking calendar; TeleMinute has neither. And TeleMinute has no built-in checkout for your bot's own products beyond Telegram Stars features.

So the question is not which tool is better in the abstract. It is which channel your customers are on. For Meta channels, Chatfuel. For Telegram, Chatfuel is not an option, and TeleMinute is built for exactly that.

Who should stay with Chatfuel

Plenty of people. If your customers message you on WhatsApp or Instagram, if you want an AI assistant answering from a knowledge base, if you need lead cards syncing to HubSpot or Salesforce, or if appointment booking with reminders is central to your business, Chatfuel is the right kind of tool and TeleMinute does none of that. The free Light plan also makes it easy to try. The deciding line is the channel: Chatfuel for Meta, TeleMinute for Telegram, and if you run both, there is nothing wrong with using both.

How to switch from Chatfuel to TeleMinute

Chatfuel never holds a BotFather token, so there is nothing on the Chatfuel side to unplug for Telegram itself. The switch is really a build.

  1. Sort out the token. If you connected a Telegram bot to Chatfuel through a connector such as Zapier or Make, open @BotFather, choose the bot and regenerate the token. The old connection stops immediately. If you do not have a Telegram bot yet, you can skip this step for now; our BotFather guide walks through creating one when you are ready.
  2. Create a TeleMinute account, or start with the demo bot. Choose the demo route and TeleMinute lends you a bot for 15 minutes with no token and no card. Paste your own token when you have it and keep everything you built.
  3. Rebuild your menus. Pick a template or start from scratch, then add your commands, keyword replies, inline buttons, lead forms and scheduled broadcasts. A simple menu bot is a short job; a bot with many commands takes as long as you need to write them.

Your WhatsApp and Instagram automations in Chatfuel are unaffected by any of this. If you want to leave Chatfuel entirely, cancel from Billing under Manage billing; the help center says the plan stays active until your next payment date and then returns to the free plan. Frequently asked questions

Does Chatfuel support Telegram?

Not natively, as of September 2026. Chatfuel started as a Telegram bot builder in 2015, but today its website, pricing page and help center document only WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and a website chat widget. Telegram is reachable only through third-party connectors such as Zapier, Make or Albato.

Is Chatfuel free?

Yes, there is a free plan called Chatfuel Light with no credit card required. It covers Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp automations, a shared inbox and the flow builder, but usage limits apply and the exact caps are not published. AI features are on the paid AI PRO tier, listed at $69 per month or $49 per month billed yearly as of September 2026. Check their pricing page for the current figure.

Can I move my Chatfuel bot to TeleMinute?

Not as a direct import. A Chatfuel bot lives on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or a website widget, and TeleMinute is Telegram only, so you rebuild the menus in TeleMinute with a template or from scratch. If your Telegram bot was wired to Chatfuel through a connector, regenerate its token in BotFather first. If you have no Telegram bot yet, start with the 15-minute demo bot and add your own token later.

How much does TeleMinute cost compared to Chatfuel?

TeleMinute costs $3.99 per week, $9.99 per month or $49.99 once for lifetime access, with regional discounts of up to 70% applied automatically in eligible countries, payable by card or Telegram Stars. There is a free 15-minute trial bot with no card, and after the trial the bot pauses until you subscribe. Chatfuel has a free Light plan, and its AI PRO tier is $69 per month or $49 per month billed yearly as of September 2026.
